The State Tretyakov Gallery is the national treasury of Russian fine art and one of the greatest museums in the world. It is located in one of the oldest directs of Moscow – Zamoskvorechye, not far from the Kremlin.

The Gallery's collection consists entirely of Russian art and artists who have made а contribution to the history of Russian art or been closely connected with it. The collection contains more than 130 000 works of painting, sculpture and graphics, created throughout the centuries by successive generations of Russian artists.

One of the richest world collections of fine arts from the time immemorial to nowadays is treasured in the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts that is favorably situated in the very center of Moscow, close to the Kremlin and Red Square. Nowadays it is the second, after the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg, largest museum of foreign art in Russia.

The collection of the museum is so rich that it can be compared only with the Hermitage.

The museum has famous all over the world paintings by Rembrandt, Boticelli, Canaletto, Guardi, Tieplo, impressive collection of Little Dutch Masters, impressionists and a lot of other outstanding painters.

Old Arbat is a famous pedestrian street in Moscow which runs between Smolenskaya and Arbat squares. At first sight it's a modern tourist street with a host of souvenir and antique shops, kiosks, high-prices cafes, and lots of entertainments. But actually this street has cultural background and is deeply rooted to the past. The street has been undergone lots of reconstructions and changes since the 15th century and it's still a keeper of history of Moscow. Our guide will lead you through the street, and show you the most picturesque lanes, historical buildings, and unusual monuments.

It's a well-known fact, Moscow Metro is the most beautiful and ornated in the world. You won't be able to find two identical stations. It was designed and built by eminent Soviet architects who used more than twenty varieties of marble and other natural stones in their decoration and were able to create the unique look of every station. Once you visit the Moscow metro you'll find yourself in a real museum of architecture, art and beauty. Find time and let yourself enjoy the beauty of Moscow Metro.

The Bolshoi Theater is Moscow's famous historic theater. The theater's long history (it has been a Moscow fixture since 1824) includes the premier of Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake and other premieres, and features important Russian and international ballets and operas. In 2010, the Bolshoi celebrated its 185th anniversary.


Saint Petersburg is the Russia’s greatest historical and cultural treasure, it is "Northern Capital" - the famous "Venice of the North". Virtually unharmed by the 1930-50s period of Stalinist reconstruction, downtown St. Petersburg is crowded with splendid palaces, impressive historical monuments, tree-lined avenues and beautiful bridges. Although not yet 300 years old, St. Petersburg is a city crammed with historical and cultural associations and a refined air of mystery.
